General questions about storage

What area do you service?
We will pick up your stuff from anywhere within the City of Calgary.

Do I need to come to the office to do paperwork?
No, we can do everything remotely. For your convenience, our contracts are all electronic, with DocuSign. All you need to do is provide photo id, credit card information, and sign the contract.

Can I store anything in my storage unit?
Yes, as long as it is not flammable, hazardous, illegal, or perishable.

Can I store fragile items in my storage unit?
You sure can, just make sure you pack them appropriately for transport as we do not take responsibility for items damaged in transit due to improper packing. Also, mark all boxes containing fragile items so our team knows to be extra careful with them. This include all electronic items.

How much stuff will fit into my storage locker?
As a best practice, mark out on the floor of your home with masking tape an area equal to the locker you select. Then place your boxes into that space. If everything fits at your place it will at our place! Using uniform boxes will get more into your locker as they stack better.

How much stuff can I put into a box for storage?
You should keep box weight to under 45 lbs or 20.5 Kg. As a general rule, if you can’t lift the box it’s too heavy.

Could my stuff freeze in the storage unit?
Nope, all units listed for concierge service are all heated.

Can I come and sort out my stuff at the storage facility?
Absolutely, no problem.

Storage Scheduling, Pick Up and Deliveries

When can I move in?
You can move in any day during the month, but it is cheaper to move in Monday to Friday. All rentals are prorated from the date you move in to the first day of the month and then billed on a calendar month basis thereafter.

Where does my stuff get picked up from?
Whatever address you provide is where we will pick up from as long as it is within Calgary. However, the prices shown are for items picked up from your front door (that is at the building’s front door or loading area at ground level) and all items can be placed into our truck by one person without help. If two people are required because you have large items extra charges will apply. If you are overweight on items there is an additional charge of $3.00/50 lbs.

How much does it cost to have some of my stuff brought back to me or I want to add more to my storage?
Just call us to arrange a pick up or return. Our minimum charge is $26.00 plus GST and includes up to 50 lbs. Each additional 50 lbs. costs $3.00 plus GST. That means if you have items that have a total weigh of 200 lbs you will pay $35 plus GST.

What if am not ready when you come to pick up my stuff?
You are busy and so are our drivers, so you need to be ready when we arrive. Waiting time is charged at $1.00 per minute per person, after the first 5 mins of wait time. If you miss your appointment you will have to reschedule and the fee for missing a pick up or delivery is a charge of $50.00.

What if I need to reschedule my pick up?
If you need to change a pick up or delivery it must be made 24 hours prior to your scheduled pick up time. We can deliver back to you during the weekdays. Returns can only be arranged during business hours weekdays so our onsite staff can supervise the withdrawal of your possessions and maintain our high standard of security.

Do I need to be home for a pick up or delivery?
Yes. We are not like Amazon, we don’t leave items on your doorstep to ensure they never go missing.

Can I get insurance for my items in storage?
Yes, we offer optional contents insurance starting at $7.25/mth for $2000 in coverage.

Storage Costs, Billing and Payments

How does it work if I move in during the middle of the month?
All rentals are prorated from the date you move in to the first day of the month and then billed on a calendar month (not every four weeks) thereafter.

How do you charge me?
Your payments are processed automatically to the credit card you provide, on the first of each month. We email you a receipt when payment is processed. Additional Pick ups and returns are charged at time of service.

How long is my price guaranteed?
Your price is Guaranteed for one year from move in date and we charge monthly, not every 4 weeks like some places.

Are there any other fees I need to be aware of?
Our pricing is straight forward and outlined. However, there are extra charges if you have large items that require two people to move due to weight or size. As well, we charge to go up or down stairs, evening or weekend moves, as well as rush pick up or delivery.

How do I schedule pick up or delivery?
When you are all packed and ready to go contact us to set a pick up time. If you book your time prior to noon weekdays we will be there within 2 to 5 hours. If you call after noon the pick up will be the next business day. We can arrange rush pick ups for an additional fee if you book after noon and require same day pick up. After hours and weekend pick up, two delivery people or going up stairs are all subject to surcharge.
